Manchester City are plotting some big changes in the summer to freshen up the squad for Pep Guardiola, and they are targeting an AC Milan star.

According to Sky in Switzerland, City are ‘preparing a revolution’ and they are moving ahead of time to try and line up players in view of the summer window. One of the issues they must address is replacing Kevin De Bruyne, who will leave the club.

Florian Wirtz is a name on their list, and Tijjani Reijnders has been mentioned too. However, the report states that the latter is now considered the ‘ideal man to replace Ilkay Gündogan’ and ‘revitalise what has always been the lifeblood of the Guardiola system’.

Reijnders has without doubt been one of Milan’s best performers this season with 14 goals to his name, and he has even scored four times for the Netherlands. As a result, he is ‘looking to take his career to the next level’.

Despite his recent contract extension with Milan until 2030, Reijnders knows he could ‘still improve under one of the best coaches in football history’. While he’s happy in Milan, ‘several sources’ have told Sky CH that City would be ‘absolutely irresistible to him given his future aspirations’.

Milan is demanding up to €65m, excluding bonuses, and it is a sum that the Premier League giants seem willing to spend. Now, we must see if Reijnders will follow Wirtz to lead a new era at the Etihad Stadium.

  1. TIJI NO PLEASE YOUR OUR ONLY HOPE IN MIDFIELD, ITS BEEN SO DIFFICULT TO LOSE SANDRO TONALI IN THE MIDDLE AND WE ROSSONERI NEVERR TOUGHT WE WOULD FIND ANOTHER GENIUS PASSING SOUL – BUT YET WE WERE WRONG AS WE FOUND YOU.

    1. I mean, regardless of how you feel about Redbird, this is literally true. No club wants to lose money, so in the absence of CL money, SOMEONE (or even more than one) is going to get sold. This should not come as a shock to anyone.

  2. Sad to see him go. But Milan can only blame themselves for being so crappy that the club ain’t a final destination anymore.

I understand why he would want to leave. Milan is in shambles, City is one of the biggest and best clubs in the world and are sure to reach the top soon again. He can become a real superstar there.

      1. Also, they are in the CL spots for the moment, but they still have to fight to get there.

I’ll put on my tinfoil hat and open my third eye – I foresee them losing the 5th position somewhat intentionally and coincidentally receiving a 1 year ban to play in UEFA tournaments (would be very convenient), but of course the verdicts will come after the world club cup.

          1. If they are charged by the EPL, depending on what exactly they are found guilty, a follow-up UEFA investigation will happen in matter of hours I guess. You might be right, though if there is a concrete evidence for breach of rules that would also apply to UEFA rules, it’s imminent in my opinion.

          2. A FA points deduction a la Calciopoli will be tantamount to a one season ban from European competition. A relegation (depending on how low) would be a ban on European competition for at least two seasons (unless they win the FA Cup or Carabao Cup while demoted). My guess is they will receive a huge fine and a transfer ban for at least two windows, which for our purposes would achieve the same result: no Tijji transfer to City.

    1. ‘sad to see him go’ idiot this is Sky Switzerland reporting, they got no idea about any of this

Literally 2 days ago it was reported he wants to stay and now flip flop

its because of naive fools like you newspapers print nonsense all the time

  3. 65m it’s not a problem for City.
Bro tijjani you play like sneijder, de jong or even like cruijff in the past. One hit wonder bro go to city and under coach like Pep.

Once in a lifetime bro Tijjani. Just go.

Milan please accept if it’s true. Next season you’re going nowhere. Just serie A and coppa Italia. You have no money. Please accept this money for upsize your rubbish mercato budget.

  4. If City is already willing to pay 65M€ then it’s time to raise the demand to 100M€. Take it or leave it. Beyond idiotic to sell him for such a low figure.

We got lucky with him replacing Tonali and the odds are that the next one won’t be as successful.

    1. City won’t go for 100m bro. I think 70m its enough. once in a lifetime bro. Milan have no money next season. 70m + 10m for tijjani salary. Tripled his recent salary. Woww..

  5. We can milk PL clubs for much more. Especially City! They can gamble on a player for that amount.

Redbird need to understand how to milk other clubs instead of selling cheap and paying for overpriced average players who don’t fit in.
