AC Milan are ready to try and pull off the audacious signing of Ruben Dias from Manchester City, a report claims.
SportMediaset report that Milan is becoming increasingly Portuguese. After Ruben Amorim, Goncalo Ramos, and Diego Moreira (who chose Belgium but holds dual citizenship), the Rossoneri’s next centre-back could also come from Portugal.

Ruben Dias ‘is a major target’ for Milan. It’s a difficult signing due to the costs involved, but with Mendes at the helm it’s hard to believe anything is impossible. It’s now clear that the super agent has taken control of the Diavolo’s transfer business.
He, and his agency Gestifute, signed off on the arrivals of Ramos and Moreira. Now Cardinale has tasked Mendes with finding the new defensive leader and this was likely the main focus of yesterday’s six-hour meeting.
Ruben Dias was on the table, the source are adamant. In a summer of upheaval for City – with the departures of many veterans in addition to that of Pep Guardiola – the former Benfica player’s adventure in Manchester could also be coming to an end.
After six successful years in England, Dias could decide to move on in search of new experience. AC Milan – in search of a world-class centre-back – could be the right choice for him. Of course, the deal would be complex financially: the Portuguese is 29, has a contract until 2029, and an €8m net salary.
Milan have also instructed Mendes to find a team for Rafael Leão. In recent hours, there has been talk of a possible swap between the Portuguese players: Leao to Manchester and Dias to Milan. The idea hasn’t gained traction yet, but it’s worth keeping a close eye on.
Cardinale did a proper 180 turn this season. I wasn’t happy with the setup as those other people are noobs but at least they’re targeting proper players now. If they overpay, I don’t care. I’d rather have Milan fight for titles and be in CL regularly with a bit of financial trouble or being on the edge compare to 8th spot and financial Scudetto. Milan has a board, they should be responsible to worry about overpaying and the overall finances… On the other hand, you as a fan should be exited about the club signing quality players.
This is perhaps the only club where fans are unhappy that the club is signing quality players.

Kush was the first to announce the transfers of Ramos and Moreira. I’m not talking about his videos, where he discusses rumours, but his posts on X.
He never announced a transfer that did not happen.
Every time he said we were not really in advanced talks with a player, it turned out to be true.
Come to think about it, if I only followed his posts this summer, I would have gotten all the relevant information, and nothing more.

Can someone tell me why we don’t just get Tiago Gabriel. He’s already used to Serie A, had some of best defending stats last year. Also injury free, has said he would like move to Milan and he’s cheaper. WTF is wrong with him???
Serie A players are often overrated and overpriced for what their level, so that is probably why we are looking elsewhere for now. I’d imagine that we will sign Gabriel at the very end of the window, if nobody else have arrived at that point…
So has Ekitike, but you’d still have him in your squad wouldn’t you. Hell we brought in Ronaldo Nazario just to keep an injury prone Inzaghi at the back end of his career able to play Champions League football. Class is Class.
This is a next level defender to what we’re used to. I don’t even know what kind of numbers Milan would be able to sign him at and at what salary. Scary numbers.
And frankly I don’t buy the narrative that he wants a new experience. He makes a lot of money at City which either way is far a head of Milan in capability and ambition. So I really don’t understand why he’d give that up to come to Milan.
Mendes should focus on Inacio to Milan.

Of the top 5 defenders in the world currently, between Saliba, Van Djik, R. Dias, Rudiger and Bastoni, perhaps only Bastoni and Saliba have a better injury record than Dias.
