ESPN: Man Utd playmaker to say farewell to Old Trafford – Milan and Juventus lead pursuit

By Oliver Fisher -

Jesse Lingard is expected to leave Manchester United at the end of the season with AC Milan one of the clubs keen on signing him, a report claims.

ESPN write how Lingard’s career at Manchester United has spanned 20 years and he has had more than 200 senior appearance but tonight should mark his final appearance at Old Trafford if he gets on the field.

His contract at United expires in June and there seems to be no sign of a renewal, with Milan and Juventus ‘leading the chase’ to sign the playmaker at the moment. However, there is also competition from other clubs in the Premier League and abroad.

Lingard wants to get back into the England squad ahead of the World Cup in Qatar so he is keen to move somewhere else in order to get more playing time, having become frustrated that a loan deal to Newcastle in January fell through.

  1. AGREED. No thank you. Please stay in England somewhere… or actually go to another Italian club and hurt that team!
