Sporting director Giovanni Manna appears to have taken Napoli out of the running to land Adrien Rabiot this summer.
Ever since the news broke that Massimiliano Allegri had been sacked by Milan, Rabiot’s fate became uncertain. The two have a very strong bond, so when it became apparent that Allegri was Napoli-bound (and will sign soon after his deal was terminated), the Frenchman was linked with a move there.

However, in the past few days Sky were one of the first to report that Rabiot simply isn’t a priority for the Azzurri, who can probably consider their midfield to be the department that they are strongest in.
Moreover, it seems like Ruben Amorim wants to work with the former PSG and Marseille man, who could be ideal as the box-to-box player in the 3-4-2-1 system he uses, which includes a complementary double pivot.
