Inter and AC Milan are both looking at a new stadium after plans to renovate the San Siro were unsuccessful in convincing the clubs. However, a new stadium in the same area cannot be ruled out.

The San Siro situation has trailed on for months, and with both Milanese clubs considering the possibility of a new stadium, they may look at another situation similar to the one they are in now – a shared home.

Of course, both clubs have already started looking at their own plans, but a joint project could not be ruled out given the price of building a new stadium from scratch. This could then lead to the two clubs working together, to make a mutually beneficial project.

Building a new stadium new San Siro has been referenced today by Paolo Scaroni, and when speaking at the Festival dello Sport, Inter’s president, Giuseppe Marotta commented on the importance of location, especially considering the value in the San Siro area presently, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

“On the stadium, I say that we must work on this asset: it is important for the achievement of sporting results and then it must yield returns. The modern stadium must not be a cathedral in the desert where you go to see a game every 15 days, but it must be a place that is frequented every day. Last year we collected 80 million euros in this situation, imagine in a modern stadium.”

  1. Inter don’t have the money to build even a tool shed. They are making YEARLY LOSSES.
Why the heck are Milan even allowing them to ride our coattails to a new stadium and a stable revenue stream.
Fix Milan first before worrying about our ugly Cugini.
