AC Milan have confirmed the interest of CSKA Moscow in winger Samu Castillejo through sporting director Ricky Massara, a source in Russia has revealed.
Sport24 writes how Massara announced this afternoon that CSKA Moscow are interested in signing the Spaniard before the transfer window shuts for Russian Premier League clubs on September 7.
“There is indeed interest from CSKA. I can’t say more yet,” Massara apparently told Sport24 correspondent Mikhail Mozharovsky.
CSKA are negotiating the signing of the 26-year-old and the deal may include an option to buy him outright for €8-10m, which is the figure Milan have reportedly been after all summer so far. The report mentions that Castillejo is already in the process of applying for a Russian visa, as he must arrive in Moscow by September 7.
Castillejo joined Milan from Villarreal in the summer of 2018 but has fallen by the wayside and is now considered a fringe player. Despite this, ex-Villarreal man played 43 matches for the club, in which he scored 3 goals and added 4 assists.

CSKA just wanted a last min replacement. That doesn’t mean they like Samu that much. They didn’t want Vlasic to go at all unless the price is high.

The were literally asking for 30M, so yes, they could have bought him, your logic is not really good. The difference was that Vlašić was pushing hard for a move to Milan, so the price could have been a bit lower. The difference between what Milan offered and what they asked was in the range of this sale.
No your logic is faulty at best because milan apparently wasnt even willing to pay the ten million loan that was mentioned in the media and they didnt want an obligation on top of that so please enlighten me why cska would offer us a better deal when they could be guaranteed getting 38mil from west ham? They wanted a guaranteed sale period. So if someone offers you a mil for your house assuming you have one but then i come offering you a rusty semi functioning lawn mover and the promise that i might buy your house in a years time im sure you would accept the straight up cash. Simplified yes but it paints the picture.
