Ricky Massara spoke with player agent Volker Struth yesterday, with Julian Weigl and Fabian Schar both being mentioned, according to a new report.
Milan have been putting together their plan of attack for the summer transfer window, with all fingers pointing towards defence and midfield reinforcements.
Rudy Galetti has claimed on Twitter that Football Director Massara held a meeting at Casa Milan with Stroth on Monday, with Benfica’s Weigl and Newcastle’s Schar two names that were discussed.
According to Transfermarkt, both players are represented by the same agency, which would align with Galetti’s report. It is unclear whether or not these talks moved towards any serious level of negotiation, but the two names do align with what Milan are after.
Schar is out of contract in summer and would be available to sign for free, while Weigl has impressed with Benfica, earning himself a recall to the German national team.
