CorSport: Massara already in talks for two new Milan signings after contract extension

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan director of football Frederic Massara has been in talks for both Nicolo Zaniolo and Domenico Berardi after having his contract extended, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the director is not wasting any time in moving Milan’s transfer business along now that he and technical director Paolo Maldini have signed new two-year contracts.

Massara has been in Rimini where he has met with Roma director Tiago Pinto to discuss Zaniolo, and Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali to discuss Berardi

It is likely that a deal for the Sassuolo winger would cost around €30 million which is a big commitment but he is a right-winger which is what Milan need and his quality in Serie A is proven.

Zaniolo is a much harder player to acquire and Roma would need to drop their asking price a lot for Milan or Juventus to make a move. It currently stands at €60 million.

  2. In my opinion Dybala and Berardi would be enough for the attack. I would absolutely love CDK to join but at this point I don’t see that happening

  3. The real target are ziyech for RW not berardi or zaniolo . Already confirmed by fabrizio romano and di marzio. Who the heck want to pay 30-35m euro cash for 28 years berardi to sassoulo or pay 60m euro for injury prone ACL zaniolo to Rome. Only stupid DS will pay that amount over price, and i dont think paolo and massara will be stupidly

  4. I concur. Ziyech on a loan is cheaper, Renato too is cheap, but super quality, a good striker, n a quality defender will do. A left wing-back to ease d load on Hernandez. I hope they move quickly to get the needed players

  5. Ousmane Dembele -Free (RW)
    Dybala -Free
    Belotti -Free
    Sanchez -15m
Parisi -5m loan with option (LB back up)
    Casale -15m (CB)

    Cheap but serious signings

    1. Time to turn off your PC and whatever football manager game you’re playing.

“Free” agents usually command more salaries and higher cut for their representative too. You can’t also get rid of them easily if they doesnt perform relative to the hefty salaries, ask Juventus.

Not sure if right now we have the “pull” to attract free agents if we’re up against the EPL teams who can simply double whatever we’re offering anyway. It can still be done but would take a really, really special case.

BTW, I think with having Origi arrived, signing Belotti would also be a little bit redundant unfortunately.

  6. Origi will be a huge hit. We won’t be signing any other strikers. Ziyech is the main target for RW, everything else is complete speculation by sources desperate for clicks. Even he will only arrive if he lowers his wages.
