Mazzara: Milan close to agreeing new deal with Emirates worth €175m

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan and Emirates have been partners for a long time and the latter’s logo has almost become synonymous with the red and black shirt. As the current deal will expire in 2023, a new one is on the cards and it will be worth a lot.

Milan and Emirates renewed their agreement back in 2020, in the midst of the summer games due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Those games sparked the rise of Milan, both domestically and internationally, which means the current deal doesn’t reflect the current situation.

In fact, the current agreement is worth a mere €14.5m per year, which compared to other top clubs simply isn’t enough. According to Pietro Mazzara of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan), the new deal will be worth a whole lot more.

During their Dubai trip, Milan’s executives will surely meet representatives of Emirates and as per the report, the new deal should be worth €30-35m per year. The new deadline is expected to be 2028 and that means the agreement will be worth a total of €175m.

It’s a significant but also needed pay rise for Milan, who have established themselves at the top of Italian football once again. And it remains to be seen how far they will go in the Champions League, taking on Tottenham in the round of 16.
