Joao Gomes is the latest player on AC Milan’s radar for the midfield and it seems a deal could be completed quickly. Music to the ears of the Rossoneri, who only have a few days left to work with.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been looking for a midfielder all summer and while several recent tracks have now cooled down, there is one on the rise. Joao Gomes, the Flamengo midfielder, could be the one.
The 21-year-old played 45 games for the Brazilian side last season and he impressed, playing as a central and defensive midfielder. According to Pietro Mazzara, Milan are considering a decisive lunge as Flamengo are open to a quick discussion.
Furthermore, the operation is financially viable and it remains to be seen if Milan will pounce on the opportunity. As said, there are just a few days left on the transfer window and the Rossoneri will have to hurry up.
