Watch: Mbarick Fall arrives for medical ahead of joining Milan Futuro

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are close to making an addition for the newly formed ‘Milan Futuro’ side as striker Mbarick Fall has arrived to undergo a medical.

Milan launched their U23 team a few days ago, and they have already been linked with a number of potential additions to help raise the average age of what would otherwise be a very young squad if it were exclusively made up of Primavera players.

Mbarick Fall’s name first emerged a few days ago. He is a 27-year-old striker who was born in Senegal but holds Italian citizenship, having came through the academy at Pro Sesto, a club for which he played for four seasons and with which he made his debut in the first team.

Last season he scored two goals and added six assists across all competitions, and he is currently doing his medical which suggests the deal could be announced soon.

    1. The team needs to be able to stay at Serie C and not relegated. That’s what the “new players” for Milan future do – provide some kind of experience, point of reference, and some physical presence.

Because there is strict rules for second team in serie C – the young players that will be played there can switched between parent club and second team, only if they fulfill these criteria :
      – not listed in the first team
      – no more than 50 serie A appearances
      – only 4 players more than 22 y.o can be included

So there is some need to add players that will play only for Milan futuro. These players won’t play for Milan except on some extraordinary circumstances.

  1. O wow, what a buy. Meanwhile Juve just got a top mid in Douglas Luiz for 50mil plus two players swap deal. How can Juve sign top players but we can’t, despite hearing all the time how are we doing financaly better than anyone else in Italy ?

    1. Maybe because most of our top targets are still playing in Euro and Copa America?

No need to be panic though, there are many top clubs that don’t have important transfer yet – like Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona. Etc.

      1. Douglas Luiz plays in Copa America too, but that didn’t stop Juve. And now they are trying to close the Thuram deal till the end of the week. Sure, no need to panic but looking at how they do business will get nothing like Luiz in our mid and prob some other Musa in the range of 20mil will be bought.

        1. The great majority of transfers done as of yet in serie a is player that was on loan last season which the clubs had obligations to buy july first so yeah i do think AR has a point here. A club like inter isn in minus 40 mil for players they already had in 23-24 season.
I will also question whether deschamps actually will allow his players to sign a contract while at the euros because he said otherwise before the euros.

          1. Its not about when Martin but about the quality. As i said, sure no need to panic, but nothing shows me that we will go for Douglas Luiz level players. Despite all the claims that we are great financialy.

          2. Time will tell sure but from what I can see Juventus also threw in a few talents on top of the fee from the looks of it so would people actually be happy by such scenario.
It might not be about when but Milan Futuro also has to comply with rulesets so they have to add some lesser names to that team and for what we know they might already have some deal bagged for the first team that we haven’t been made aware of yet.
