Mediaset: Arnault wants to close Milan takeover as new rumours emerge – the clues

By Isak Möller -

Bernard Arnault hasn’t given up on taking over AC Milan. On the contrary, he seems to be getting closer to a deal with Elliott Management, the current owners of the Rossoneri. All signs point in this direction, a report claims.

Despite the constant denials, as reported by SportMediaset, the rumours of a Milan future under the ownership of Louis Vuitton persist in the finance environment. Arnault, in fact, has already decided the board of directors and the entire organization chart.

All the sign are now pointing in this direction, including the cancellation of Ralf Rangnick’s arrival at the club. The German would have prevented Arnault from acting independently on the sports front, given the special role that was offered.

Furthermore, Elliott and Gazidis have been working to improve the club’s accounts and make it more sustainable for a new buyer. Paolo Maldini, who is appreciated by the potential new owners, also looks set to remain at the club.

For the time being, the timing is unknown, but it seems that the intention is to close relatively quickly, at most a year. Arnault has received guarantees on the stadium front, which has sparked the negotiations even more.
