AC Milan face competition from Atalanta in the race to land Lokomotiv Moscow star Aleksey Miranchuk, according to a report.
Miranchuk plays as an attacking midfielder and has amassed 12 goals and five assists in 26 appearances in all competitions so far this season for Lokomotiv.
Both Sky Italia and MilanNews have confirmed that the Rossoneri are keeping an eye on the Russia international as they look to reinforce their creative midfield department, with Giacomo Bonaventura set to leave at the end of the season.
SportMediaset are reporting though that Atalanta are now in the running to land the 24-year-old, and their officials have already moved by contacting his club directly, without resorting to intermediaries.
The cost of Miranchuk is around €18-20million and Milan are mentioned as being keen, as is the possibility of including Diego Laxalt as a counterpart to bring down the asking price of a potential deal with the Moscow club.
