Mediaset: Barcelona in a hurry to sell unwanted man to Milan and sign Chelsea outcast

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been given a boost in their pursuit of Junior Firpo as Barcelona have lined up his replacement, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by SportMediaset (via MilanNews), there has been an opening in the operation that would see Firpo join Milan as both the player and Barcelona have opened up to the idea.

The news that has arrived the last few hours is that the Blaugrana are in a hurry to close this deal with the Rossoneri because they have the possibility of signing Marcos Alonso from Chelsea, but they must get Firpo out of the door.

The Spaniard’s agent is Sufiel Abdelkader, the father of Brahim Diaz, something which could be a positive factor in the negotiations given the excellent relations between the parties.

Firpo was however called up for tonight’s game against Cornellà in the Round of 32 of Copa del Rey by Barca.
