Mediaset: Chelsea, Juventus and PSG watching Milan star’s contract situation closely

Theo Hernandez’s name has been dominating the headlines since the defeat against Fiorentina, and now there is a report stating that Juventus are monitoring his situation closely.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke of ‘the great frost’ involving Theo, who is wanting €8m net per season plus bonuses to renew with Milan but is not convincing the management with his performances and his behaviour more recently.

As SportMediaset (via MilanNews report), the situation related to the renewal of Theo’s contract is more complicated than expected. During the press conference to present Youssouf Fofana just over a month ago, Zlatan Ibrahimovic reassured everyone by saying that the club and the player knew what they wanted.

However, now the impression is that there is a rush, also because the Marseille player’s contract expires in 2026 and there is the risk of devaluation in view of the next summer transfer market. The current value of the full-back is between €45-50m, but next summer he could go for much less if he does not renew.

At the moment there are many clubs that are talking with Hernandez’s agent Manuel Quilon, such as Bayern Munich who could lose Alphonso Davies on a free. Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain are also said to be lurking, but a ‘disturbing manoeuvre’ by Juventus cannot be ruled out.

Their needs are not as pressing because Andrea Cambiaso is doing well, but Juve know the left side could be improved with the addition of Theo. At the moment there is no concrete attempt, but if this renewal does not arrive in the next few months the Bianconeri could burst into the scene.

  1. I might be a bit slow at the moment as I slept a bit but please proof read you article as it seems to me that you are saying that theo is playing in Marseille 😀

      1. After awakening a bit more I actually do get it now its because he is born there but the writing kinda give the impression that he is owned by the club.

  2. Theo seems in a toxic place, maybe he’s unhappy maybe he’s not, either way he’s not been an captain and I’m starting to believe he’s not really that invested in the club anymore. If he wants a payday he’s earned it, but I’d rather see PSG pay 8,5M for this Theo than Milan…

        1. sawo_kecik I don’t recall seeing you comment here before but just ignore Boulden as the rest of us do as he is basically being passive aggressive towards anyone he tries to come in contact with and even though I regard Theo as a player his valuation certainly will go down unless he renews his contract.

  3. There’s a lot to consider here. Player attitude, managing the dressing room, other players with upcoming contracts expectations, management power, results, performance, team morale…management need to tread carefully. My view is assessing the commitment from the player. If he has checked out, sell
