AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa by his agent but there seems to be no interest from the Rossoneri.
As reported by Sport Mediaset (via Milan News), Chiesa is searching frantically for a new club after appearing to fall completely out of favour at Juventus over the course of last season and the summer under new coach Thiago Motta.

He has been linked with a number of teams both in and out of Italy, and Milan are one of them. The main reason for Milan rebuffing the proposal is his salary demands.
Chiesa would want to be paid €6-7m per season which would make him one of the top earners at the club, and Milan do not find themselves in serious need of wingers right now.
It seems that the most viable option within Italy for Chiesa is now AS Roma who have been exploring the idea of signing him, but the salary remains a big ask for the Giallorossi.
There are some Premier League teams showing an interest in the former Fiorentina attacker and they would be more willing to meet his current salary demands, but the season is fast approaching and a move to Milan seems unlikely.
He’d have a chance if he’d just lower his wage demands to something sensible. Can always renegotiate a better contract if it’s shown he regains his form.
Personally I’d love to take a chance on someone like Chiesa (who used to be amazing and is still fairly young) but I understand it has to be at the right price.
Thats reasonable. It could be lower base sallary with performances bonus too etc.

It is really sad specifically for the Azzurri fans to see what is happening to Chiesa, how one of the most talented Italian players can’t find a team that us willing to get him.
We’ve already had a huge injury list in recent years. Why add another player that has had a severe knee injury on a high salary when we are covered in that position?
I liked him when we had the first chance but he chose Juve. Now we don’t need him.

i think chiesa isnt a bad idea the only problem is his wages which is about 6 million which also means his wages is higher than hernandez which cant hapen but if his wages is 4-5 million then it wouldn’t be a bad idea
This situation experienced by Chiesa is in a way emblematic of the general context that Italian football as a whole is going through. It is not normal for one of the best players in the country to be knocking on doors, trying to find a club that wants his services, just as it is plainly absurd to see the Squadra Azzurra missing out on two consecutive World Cups.
Anyway, this is something altogether sad.
Great comment. Also emblematic are the astronomical salary demands of many players, a consequence of market distorting fees paid by the likes of PL clubs, PSG, and now Saudi Arabia.
Back in the day (and I’m not saying this is Chiesa’s current case because he’s not that old yet), players of a certain quality who were at contract end and in their early thirties lowered the salary demands to be able to stay at their clubs, or be able to move to a smaller club in the league and still play top level football. Today, players of a certain quality making N million per year at 34 years of age still expect to be paid the same, if not more, because they can go to a 3rd tier league like Saudi or MLS (and formerly China) and get that kind of money. Everything is so distorted now.
Has nothing with him being Italian. Has everything to do with him not being the same player after the ACL on inflated wages.
Nobody is paying 6mil/year for hopes, dreams and maybe’s.
If his salary demand only 3-4m euro nett maybe italy club want to sign him .But if 7m euro nett that would be tough for italy club unless he is free transfer. ACM are more need italian in RB like kayode rather than winger like chiesa
Why would he take 9m over 3 years if he’s due to make 9m at Juve this year? Offer him 15m over 3 and take the difference out of the transfer fee. Sell Saelemaekers and it’s easy low risk high reward.

Either a high salary or a competitive and professional playground. Either go to Saudi for a high salary or lower expectations and play for Milan. He must CHOOSE, he will never get both considering his conditions.
You know how Ikardi is linked to Milan every transfer window? This is like that. Agent goes from one club to another offering a player no one is interested in and leaking a story about those “contacts” to artificially create a buzz and maybe trick some desperate club with more money than brains (I’m looking at you Man Utd and Chelsea) to take a chance on an overpriced player no one wants
