Mediaset: Elliott give green light for Milan to make ‘Hernandez-like’ signing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management have reportedly given their approval for Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban to complete the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo, with talks ongoing.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it), Milan and Barcelona had the opportunity to talk about Todibo during the ‘Legends of Style’ event on Tuesday.

The outlet adds that Barca director Pau Vilanova reiterated to Boban that the request for the French defender is around €20million, but that there is room for negotiation.

The talks between the two parties have continued, and the will of the player could favour the successful outcome of the negotiation for Milan, who would like to try to lower Todibo’s price by €6-8million.

Meanwhile, Elliott Management have already given their approval to the operation, as the Frenchman is seen by the club’s owners as a signing with similar potential to that of compatriot Theo Hernandez.
