Mediaset: Elliott give green light to signing of striker as Milan eye loan swap

By Isak Möller -

As a result of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury, Milan will be looking to bring in a striker in January, should a good opportunity arise. Seeing as Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao haven’t performed, it sure is necessary.

According to SportMediaset, as cited by MilanNews, Elliott Management have given the go-ahead to the signing of a striker. The likes of Mario Mandzukic, Olivier Giroud and Arkadiusz Milik should be excluded from the list of names.

Instead, the interest in Gianluca Scamacca is something to follow with great interest. The Sassuolo-owned striker is currently on loan at Genoa and an idea could be to swap Scamacca with Lorenzo Colombo, sending him on loan to Genoa.

Milan will face Sassuolo tomorrow and on the sidelines of the game, they could discuss the situation and a potential deal. For now, though, Stefano Pioli will have to rely on Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao.
