Mediaset: Elliott give the green light as Milan get ready to make a big investment on Tonali

The AC Milan management have got the approval of Elliott to close the deal for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, a report claims.

Despite it seeming like the 20-year-old was on his way to rivals Inter, speculation has exploded over the last few weeks suggesting that Milan are pushing strongly for Tonali.

According to a report from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan’s owners Elliott Management have even given their approval for Paolo Maldini and co. to close the operation.

An agreement could be reached on the basis of €10million plus €25m on an option or an obligation to buy. Then, there is a four-year €2.5million deal for the player (plus bonuses).

That makes the total investment €55m when factoring in the €35m fee plus €5m a year gross salary for four years (€20m). The owners have given a mandate to Massara and Maldini to close the deal and they could raise their first offer to beat the competition from Inter.
