Mediaset: Gazidis wants to use ‘the Arsenal model’ at Milan with Rangnick

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis is ready to put his full trust and faith in Ralf Rangnick in terms of control of the club’s recruitment, a report claims.

At the moment, a number of different outlets are reporting that Milan are heading for yet another revolution in the summer, this time one led by Ralf Rangnick and one without the presence of Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban, with the latter to depart imminently.

According to what Claudio Raimondi has told SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan’s new philosophy will be to focus only on young players and for this reason Gazidis has in mind to transplant the Arsenal model into the Rossoneri.

Rangnick, strongly desired by the Milan CEO, will be a manager with a similar role to that of Arsene Wenger who enjoyed a lot of success with the Gunners. This will mean the German has very wide-ranging powers both as the head coach of the team and regarding player recruitment in the transfer market.
