Mediaset: Ibrahimovic set to keep Milan waiting; stance on move to Everton

By Oliver Fisher -

A decision from Zlatan Ibrahimovic regarding his future may not arrive until after Christmas, according to the latest reports.

Ibrahimovic is a major target for AC Milan as they look to increase their firepower, but Paolo Maldini revealed on Sunday that the situation is becoming more difficult as time passes, suggesting that alternatives may have to be looked at.

Meanwhile, a report from TMW on Tuesday night the claimed that there is still a different between the Rossoneri and the striker over the terms of the contract, with Everton ready to swoop in once Carlo Ancelotti is confirmed as their new manager.

Claudio Raimondi has told SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) though that Ibrahimovic’s response to Milan’s offer has not yet arrived, and he may postpone a decision on his future until after the festive period.

The 38-year-old’s indecision suggests that he is waiting to see how the Ancelotti situation develops, with the Italian set to be confirmed as the Toffees’ new boss in the next few hours.

Ancelotti will try and reunite with Zlatan at Goodison Park after the pair worked together at PSG, but at the moment the player is not keen on the idea of moving back to the Premier League.
