Mediaset: Kamada rejects huge offer from Saudi Arabia as he waits for Milan

Daichi Kamada has rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia because he has his heart set on a move to AC Milan, according to a report.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) write how Kamada’s contract with Eintracht Frankfurt will expire today which means that he is free to join any club on a free transfer, making him one of the most interesting opportunities out there.

The Japan international has said no to a huge offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal because he strongly wants Milan. However, the Rossoneri have put everything on stand-by for the moment because if they were to register him, all the non-EU slots would be taken.

That is particularly problematic when considering that one of their major targets is Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal who is a Nigeria international and does not have an EU passport.

Kamada is waiting for developments clearly still wanting to join Milan, while the rumours of Roma joining the race are wide of the mark.

  1. I don’t understand why Milan are stalling. Arsenal are apparently interested in this guy; he’s top quality, and he’s free.

  2. Really hope this goes through soon,, we just lost a Milan fan so it would be nice to have one arrive to balance it out!

Don’t care if it means we can’t sign any other non EU players, at least we’d have Diaz’s replacement sorted.

  3. I just hope we don’t end up messing this transfer up cus I don’t know what the whole holdup is all about.. This deal is the only deal that makes sense given the whole transfer saga and I don’t know why it’s taking so much time.

    1. As already explained by several members here, it won’t change a thing if we sell Messias. We only have 1 non eu slot left for players coming from other-than Italian league. So it’s either Chuk-guy or Kamada.

    2. Every season ,club can only bring 2 player non EU from outside italy. ACM already use one for RLC . Last one ACM must choose between kamada or samuel chukwu . No effect even if you sell all your non EU player in your squad because the rule

  4. Think we will miss out Kamada, guys cos Poli and management all wanted Musah (another USMFT) player who will fill the last non EU slot. RLC is the last option signing to cover Tonali since all our targets in the market for a DMC position fail to materialise.

We still haven’t replace Diaz. Another scenario I’ll foresee is Poli playing either Krunic/LC/Probega as AMC.

Wrong choice big time to sign RLC and give up Kamada.

    1. You can only sign 2 player non EU from outside italy . aCM already sign RLC ,last slot should be kamada versus samuel chukwu . ACM priority samuel chukwu that have huge price 40m euro

  5. This idiot management will chase Chukwuaze with empty pocket and some other team will buy him in last moment and Kamada also will join Roma or other team and everybody will laugh at us again 🤣🤣🤣 This board doesn’t give a single f*** about club.

  6. We have Non-EU constraints so I suggest we Get Kamada for free and forget chukwueze. My reason is we looked more predictable last season because all our attacking threats comes from the flanks especially the left . We will look more deadly on the attacking phase with an AM like Kamada who can create a lot of chances. I think Leao and Giroud will score more with the signing of Kamada. Chukwueze is fantastic RW. Would love both but we can only get one at the moment

    1. Then Kamada and Dybala will humiliate us next season to remind those free transfers we missed. Also, expecting Belotti to revive just to score a banger for Roma lol

  7. Get this guy now, it’s a no brainer. He is good, knows what he wants, better then many options out there that are being considered.

  8. let’s be honest. Whatever you think about RLC no one thinks he was an absolutely key signing, for close to €20mn there are surely other Midfielders that “moneyball ” can find.

RLC really wasted one of our non-EU slots. They should have been saved for Chukwueze and Kamada. Poor decision making from the management.

Hopefully they’re saved by either Kamada getting 🇩🇪 or Samuel getting 🇪🇸 nationality. But I’m not holding my breath

    1. I share your opinion, too. We could have gone for an Italian midfielder, or someone else with EU passport, for the middle, and save the non-EU slots for Chukwueze and Kamada. RLC’s style of play is similar to Bakayoko’s, whether he’s free or not. Also, we need someone with less injury records for that position. Diaz was not consistent, and our right wing was dead last season. In my opinion, these two guys should have been given more consideration with the non-EU spots situation. I hope they make good decisions, for the success of the club going forward.

    2. As a fact, all midfielders the new management targeted has shown them close door on their face.
Now only 20/21year old we can get as they get chance to play champions league.
And in the end they have to go back to RLC, without an option

  9. What is wrong with these management, once they chased thuram for close to a month without success bcos he’s free, eventually he chose inter and now they want to give up on a very good player that is free and one who wants milan, a fan for that matter. They thought making transfer is easy and is just something you just close your eyes to pick the perfect players out there, i hope they get it right.

  10. Something is obviously wrong with this Milan Tbh….. Why wait on signing an excellent player on a free transfer with the speed of light when we are notorious for letting our best players leave for free …. The board and sporting directors are a joke if you ask me . We didn’t need to sell Tonali . We never should have
Now that we’ve done that why put a potential on hold ? Something is wrong with this club at the helm

  11. He can also open the game of difficult situations and also with his pace, dribbling he can move the final third and also with à good eye to score some goals. Maybe he is best midfielder to play Milan in last 13years if we recruit him for FREE
