Mediaset: Leipzig unlikely to negotiate on Sesko’s price tag amid Milan interest

By Euan Burns -

RB Leipzig are going to stand firm on the release clause for AC Milan target Benjamin Sesko which is thought to be somewhere between €50m and €75m.

As reported by Sport Mediaset (via Milan News), the Bundesliga side want to be well-compensated if they are to lose the young Slovenian striker who has impressed this season.

Milan are looking for a new starting striker with Olivier Giroud set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season, heading to LAFC.

It is believed that Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, and Leipzig’s Sesko are the two players that the Rossoneri are trying to decide between.

Neither player will be cheap, but the growing release clause that Sesko has in his contract could make him the most expensive option of the two.

He has scored 16 goals this season in all competitions which is not a blistering figure, but it does show that he is developing and may be ready for the responsibility of being the starter for one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Leipzig are not a poor club and they have shown no interest in negotiating downwards on the release clause for Sesko, which may push Milan towards Zirkzee.

  1. 50-75m?
we can get both Guraisy & Lucca (price, salary, agent fee included) a present & future ST, main ST & the backup

  2. 75m euro gambling for foreign atacker that need adaptation in italian league & country. I dont think this is worth unless ACM have unlimited budget like PSG or Chelsea

  3. 75 mln is certainly too much for Milan to buy a 20-years-old who is still a raw talent to a certain degree.
