More reports have emerged suggesting that AC Milan may start the 2021-22 season with a Turkish attacking midfielder after all.

Calciomercato.com first reported Milan’s interest in Yazici who had a disappointing European Championships with his country, amassing 3 appearances, 117 minutes overall, zero goals, zero assists.

The 24-year-old was however part of a Lille side that had a fantastic season, finishing above PSG to win the league. Yazici also had a very positive Europa League campaign, with 7 goals in 8 appearances, including a hat-trick against Milan at San Siro in a 3-0 win for Les Dogues.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan are evaluating several profiles that could take the place of Calhanoglu as the number 10 in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 system. Among the players that has ended up on the wish list is Yazici, as per the broadcaster. Relations between Lille and Milan are good, as the Leao and Maignan operations stand to prove.
