Franck Kessie’s contract will expire in the summer and AC Milan have been working hard on a renewal. However, there is still no agreement and the Rossoneri are now considering a drastic move, a report claims.
As reported by Mediaset (via MilanLive), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are considering a January exit for the midfielder. That way, they would avoid losing him for free, although they wouldn’t be able to collect loads given the situation.
Above all, Milan don’t want another Donnarumma-esque outcome and that’s why they are considering the idea. If an agreement hasn’t been reached before the January window, then we can expect to see Kessie leave.
Milan have offered €6.5m per year to Kessie, as added by MilanLive, but the request of the agent remains €8m. The latter has probably received top offers from PSG and Liverpool, using that as leverage in the negotiations with the Rossoneri.
