Mediaset: Milan could include one of two young counterparts in bid for Sampdoria star

AC Milan are ready to make a concrete attempt to sign Mikkel Damsgaard from Sampdoria this summer, according to a report.

After a bright first season with Sampdoria and an excellent European Championships so far with Denmark, it is clear that Damsgaard is beginning to turn heads and is regarded by some as one of the brightest attacking talents currently in Serie A, which has earned him links with a number of big clubs.

According to what SportMediaset (via MilanNews) are reporting, at the moment there is no official negotiation over Damsgaard, but Milan really want to try to land the 20-year-old. Not only that, but the Rossoneri management have even hatched a plan to lower his asking price.

The broadcaster mentions that Milan want to insert a counterpart into the deal such as young midfielder Tommaso Pobega or a man who could become Damsgaard’s replacement in Jens Petter Hauge.
