Gianluigi Donnarumma could be sold by AC Milan in order to fund moves for Luka Modric and Angel Correa, a sensational report claims.
Recent reports in the media have suggested that the Donnarumma saga is ready to get back underway following the sale of Kevin Trapp from PSG to Eintracht Frankfurt.
It is believed that should the Parisians offload Neymar – most likely to either Barcelona or Real Madrid – then they will make a fresh attempt to land Milan’s prized stopper.
La Gazzetta dello Sport hinted on Thursday that an offer of over €50m could be enough to tempt the Rossoneri, as it would represent a pure capital gain and give the club more funds to manoeuvre in the mercato.
Now, SportMediaset have gone big with an update on the situation, claiming that Milan would accept an offer of €60m for Donnarumma.
With that money, the club would then apparently seal the signing of Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid in a deal believed to be worth around €50million.
Personal terms are believed to have already been agreed with the Argentina, so then the attention would turn to closing the current €10m gap between the clubs in terms of valuation.
Not only that, the remaining money – plus cash raised from any other potential sales – would then be used to make an attempt for Luka Modric.
Modric is described as having ‘great affection’ for Milan and his idol Zvonomir Boban, and would even be willing to reduce his current €12m-a-year salary to move to San Siro.
It has been claimed that Real would demand €20m for Modric, but that a potential swoop may have to wait until next summer, when he will be 34.
