Mediaset: Milan and Demiral pushing for late move – opening from Al-Ahli needed

AC Milan will keep trying until the end of the window to sign a defender and Merih Demiral is the name they are focusing on at the moment, according to a report.

There is just over 48 hours of the January transfer window left and Milan are still working to try to give Stefano Pioli a new central defender.

According to what Claudio Raimondi told SportMediaset (via MilanNews), the hottest name at the moment is that of Demiral who currently played in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Ahli.

The Rossoneri are trying in every way and the player is also pushing for a return to Italy where he has already played before for Sassuolo, Atalanta and Juventus.

The problem, however, is the salary of the Turkish defender who currently earns €13m net per season at Al-Ahli, which means an opening from the Arab club is needed for things to accelerate.

The other options are Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal and Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea but at the moment these options are also blocked for different reasons.

Regarding Kiwior, the Gunners are not open to a loan formule, and then for Chalobah there are doubts about his physical condition.
