AC Milan are determined to sign another centre-back this summer and have laid out a key requirement in their pursuit, a report claims.
The Rossoneri have been persistently linked with a number of different defenders by various media outlets, especially given that Ralf Rangnick was set to arrive and become the club’s new head coach and head of recruitment.
The likes of Kristoffer Ajer, Dayot Upamecano, Nikola Milenkovic, Robin Koch and others were linked, but now Stefano Pioli will stay as head coach there is some mystery as to the kind of defender that Milan will pursue.
According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan will build their rearguard for the 2020-21 season around three players: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez.
However, the defence will also be strengthened by the signing of another centre-back, and interestingly the outlet adds that the management have decided it must be a central defender who already knows Serie A.
