Mediaset: Milan hypothesis remains alive for Lukaku as Juventus move fades

The idea of Romelu Lukaku returning to Serie A and betraying both Inter and Juventus by joining AC Milan cannot yet be fully excluded, a report claims.

It was first reported by the well-linked journalist Carlo Pellegatti yesterday that the ‘crazy idea’ of Lukaku turning his back on the Nerazzurri and Bianconeri to move to Milan is something that could be achievable given the relations between Gerry Cardinale and Todd Boehly.

According to SportMediaset (via TuttoJuve), Juventus are now further away from signing Lukaku than they were but the striker could explore the possibility of a return to Italy to play with Milan.

Seeing Lukaku wearing the red and black next season would be little more than a suggestion at the moment, given the high costs of the operation.

However, if Milan were to complete some sales and free up some wages, they could give Stefano Pioli a luxury centre-forward to play alongside, allowing Lorenzo Colombo to go out on loan and Noah Okafor to play on the left.
