Mediaset: From Palladino to De Zerbi – Milan and Napoli’s manager searches overlap

AC Milan are expected to change head coach for the start of next season at the latest, a report claims, and various candidates are being considered.

A number of different profiles have been linked by various sources, such as Thiago Motta (Bologna), Raffaele Palladino (Monza), Vincenzo Italiano (Fiorentina), Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton) and Francesco Farioli (OGC Nice).

According to what is being reported by SportMediaset, Napoli will also be looking for a long-term hire come the summer and Palladino perfectly matches the identikit profile sought by the owner to create a new chapter.

The same goes for Motta, who was not surprisingly sought out last summer by the Neapolitans before the decision to go for Rudi Garcia. Italiano and Farioli are on their list too, but the choice of the Italian Champions will also be intertwined with those of Milan.

De Zerbi is also liked by both clubs (although very difficult to attract), but pay attention to Palladino who – due to his philosophy and economic demands – seems to marry perfectly with the Rossoneri’s project.

If he had to choose, is it possible that the Monza boss could go with his ‘heart’, as he said before their game against Napoli: “I am a son of Naples, my heart is there.”
