Mediaset: Milan overtaken by Juventus in race for Santos forward – both have offered €5-6m

Juventus have overtaken AC Milan in the race to sign talented striker Kaio Jorge from Santos, according to a report.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Juventus are pushing strongly to sign the 19-year-old centre-forward, a player that is also being eyed by Milan. The Brazilian has a contract expiring on December 31st and is valued at around €10m by Santos, who know they could yet end up losing him for free.

Meanwhile, both the Rossoneri and Bianconeri have made an offer of around €5-6m, but in the last few hours Juventus’ interest has intensified, so much so that the Turin-based club seem to have overtaken Milan in the race for Jorge.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara therefore will have to come forward with a decisive acceleration if they are to beat their fierce rivals and secure one of Brazil’s most interesting and highly-rated talents.

  1. I will follow this, because I am interested in what Maldini and Massara will do against a great and experienced negotiator such as Juventus. It will be difficult because Maldini is very inexperienced in terms of buying and selling players.
The Brazilian is a very talented player, my estimates are 70% / 30% for Juve

  2. I hope Kaio would be more interested to join ACM with a target to replace Zlatan and Giroud when they retire or get injured.
Joining Juve means to be benched because they have relatively younger list of forwards. Competition would be tough especially for young player.
