AC Milan’s search for an attacking midfielder has dragged on for some time now but it is reported that two names are left on the shortlist.
According to what SportMediaset are claiming (via MilanNews), Milan’s attention on the market remains to find Hakan Calhanoglu’s replacement in the form of a new playmaker who can guarantee quality, goals and assists.
The report claims that the two names in the notebook of the management are familiar ones in Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea and Nikola Vlasic of CSKA Moscow. The choice will be only one of the two names of course, but for both players Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would like to try and agree a loan with option to buy deal.
Of course, the stances of the Premier League and Russian Premier League clubs will be an important factor in the negotiations, as it remains to be seen whether they will open to such a formula.
