Mediaset: Milan want €25m-rated Italy international – €15m counterpart ready

AC Milan are still looking for another central defender this month and the latest name that they are ready to focus on appears to be Alessandro Buongiorno, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan is working to try and complete another coup for the defence after the return of Matteo Gabbia and the signing of Filippo Terracciano from Hellas Verona.

In recent days there has been a lot of talk about Lilian Brassier of Brest, but this option has been frozen by the Rossoneri management who now have another player in their sights, which is Buongiorno of Torino.

The Granata captain has a valuation of €25m and the Rossoneri are willing to include a counterpart that Urbano Cairo’s side like a lot: Lorenzo Colombo. The centre-forward is currently on loan at Monza, and he is valued at €15m by Milan.

As of yesterday the hot name seemed to be Radu Dragusin of Genoa but multiple sources are now reporting that the Romania international is expected to be Spurs-bound.

Buongiorno – a 24-year-old who is now an Italy international too – ticks boxes because of his potential to improve further, the fact he is a home-grown player, he knows the league well and can play in a back three or four.
