Mediaset: Milan working on two targets to complete the squad – the latest

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working to try and secure two final reinforcements to complete the squad before the window shuts, a report claims.

Claudio Raimondi told SportMediaset (via MilanNews) that Milan are firmly set on Jean Onana for the central midfielder role. Today Milan presented an offer to the French club worth €5m plus a percentage of the proceeds from a future resale, given that a loan with option to buy bid was declined.

Bordeaux asked for €10m initially, but given their relegation to Ligue 2 and the financial problems they are facing, they could also settle for less for a player that is being targeted to fill the hole left by Franck Kessie.

Milan are keen on signing Japhet Tanganga for the centre-back position but Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest also want him. The Rossoneri are aiming for a paid loan with an option to buy, but it is already seen as a ‘last minute’ operation that may go down to the wire.
