Further reports have emerged suggesting that Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is a target for AC Milan to become Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new deputy.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reported earlier today that Milan are keen on adding a centre-forward in the winter window and that Edouard of Celtic is a target, as the 23-year-old played and scored against the Rossoneri in the group stages of the Europa League at San Siro.
That particular game allowed technical director Paolo Maldini and the rest of the management to see the player up close, and the paper speculated that Milan could repeat what they did in the summer with Jens Petter Hauge, who was bought by the Rossoneri from Bodo/Glimt immediately after the Diavolo had faced the Norwegian team in the Europa League
According to what has been reported by SportMediaset (via MilanNews24), the Rossoneri management are indeed looking at the former PSG man as a deputy to Ibra.
Celtic’s unsuccessful season – with the Scottish side of Europe and way behind Rangers in the league – could further push towards a revolution that may thus push Edouard out. He has 37 goals and 21 assists in 67 appearances in Scotland.
