Mediaset: Milan’s new €10m offer to Ibrahimovic – the striker shows an opening

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will give his definitive answer regarding a return to AC Milan in the next 48 hours, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier on Tuesday that talks have accelerated over the last 24 hours between the parties, with Boban and Maldini having adjusted their offer in the wake of Sunday’s catastrophe in Bergamo.

Claudio Raimondi, speaking to SportMediaset on Italia Uno (via MilanNews.it), a response is due from the Swede within 48 hours, i.e. by the end of the 25th.

The Rossoneri management did indeed have fresh contacts with the 38-year-old, he adds, who this time gave signs of an opening regarding a return to Milanello.

To convince the striker, Milan have slightly adjusted their offer – not from an economic point of view, but rather tying his 12 month extension to a certain number of appearances and goals as opposed to a top four finish.

With the various bonuses, Ibrahimovic could earn a total of €10million euros between now and 30 June 2021, and Milan want him in training by December 30 – the day when everyone regathers following the brief Christmas break.
