Mediaset: Milan’s probable XI to face Celtic – No Hauge as Pioli makes his choices in attack

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has his starting line-up virtually sorted ahead of Thursday’s game against Celtic, according to a report.

Milan are seven wins from seven across all competitions to begin the 2020-21 season and will be looking to make it eight from eight in their Europa League group stage opener against the Scottish champions.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Pioli will keep Rafael Leao as a left winger after his promising performance in the derby which included an assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to make it 2-0.

Brahim Diaz will take the place of the injured Hakan Calhanoglu as playmaker behind Ibrahimovic, while in midfield it will be Sandro Tonali and not Ismael Bennacer.

The same source are reporting that there is a battle between Davide Calabria and Diogo Dalot for the right-back spot, but aside from that the XI seems to be sorted.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria/Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
