Mediaset: Moncada negotiating signing of €17m playmaker in addition to Kamada

AC Milan are not just satisfied with the potential signing of Daichi Kamada on a free transfer as they are negotiating over another playmaker, a report claims.

According to what SportMediaset (via SempreMilan.it) are reporting, Geoffrey Moncada – the acting sporting director of Milan – really wants to sign Fenerbahce’s young talent Arda Guler.

The 18-year-old is nicknamed ‘the Turkish flea’ and can play either as a central attacking midfielder or on the right wing given he is left-footed.

These are two roles that Milan urgently need to cover, but the doubts for the Rossoneri scouts concern his physicality (176cm tall), with Brahim Diaz having struggle to assert himself in games for the same reason.

Promising numbers

In his two seasons played in the Turkish Super Lig, Guler amassed 59 appearances, scoring 13 goals and 18 assists, which are good numbers for a player who only turned 18 on 25 February.

Guler could come regardless of Kamada’s arrival, and he could potentially occupy any role in the trident behind the centre-forward in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 formation.

One in, one out?

Milan could also sell Charles De Ketelaere to make room in the squad. While the Rossoneri don’t intend to sell him cheaply, they will try to test the waters in search of suitable offers that are aorund €28m or above.

As for Guler, the price tag set by Fenerbahçe would be €17m, a figure that Milan will try to negotiate knowing however that they cannot go below €15m.

  1. Not sure where you got the info about his stronger foot from. I’ve only watched 5 minutes of Guler playing but still I can say with confidence that he’s not right footed at all. In fact, he’s maybe a bit too left-footed. The kid has a lot of talent but not sure he can cope with Seria A defenders at this age and with his build.

    1. He is left footed, I used to play him on Fifa lol
Anyway the kid is good and he can play right winger as well would be a good signing

    1. patient????? Redbird are our Owners LOL. He’s 17 and if he doesn’t score 15 goals next season I’m sure we will sell him for 2M the following season LMAO

  2. Moncanda please sign Arda Guller and Lazar sardmardzic for Acmilan together with kamanda as our attacking trio pls important then sign Samuel chukwueze sell messias sign Noah Okafor for left wing then sign thuram or any striker whom is good. Then sign Matheus holjlmund he is solid since Chelsea don’t want to sell chukwumeka

    1. LOLOLOLO. ALL would be nice – BUT may I ask – with what $$$$$????? LOL. This will NEVER happen friend – although it should. Redbird have NO intention of wining titles. Only to buy players with resale value to sell for PROFIT in the future.

      1. Totally agree with you… This Redbird has no money. Even they are struggling to pay their debt to Elliot, which is €600 mil plus interest. Rumour said that Syeikh Jassim al Thani of Qatar is intrested to buy Milan from Redbird for €1,4 bil. I hope this realized…

  3. Currently, Milan fan and hierarchy are kinda scared or better still skeptical to take transfer risk because of the last season experience even though transfer risk are essential part of every club transfer experience every season.. all clubs takes a risk but let’s see what risk the club is willing to take this season.

    1. @Lino
They are scared because they would be blamed for the same reasons for sacking Maldini if things don’t work for them in this transfers but it’s something you can’t escape. If milan want to win titles our management have to have some guts to make certain choices. I personally don’t see CDK as a failure if you take into account how some past anf even some present players felt in their first season. We will bounce back but we need to be patient and hopeful. Forza Milan

  4. For the same money you can get Baldanzi who is Italian and already proven in top league like Seria A. Look at Zaniolo in Turkey he looks like prime Ronaldo, but in Italy it was a different story. I really don’t understand why this Milan hates Italians so much. Not even one Italian target. Plus Baldanzi is a Milan fan…

  5. The Cardinale Milan will not really buy Italian players becos most Italian players don’t like going outside Italy..and dat means Cardinale wont be able to sell when d need arises ..Cardinale is about profit. I saw his interview, he said 6-11 place on log is his dream…so brace urself for more disappointment.

  6. I’ve got a real curve ball theory….stick with me.

How about we sign some proven players? I know that’s demented but it might just work….

  7. Anyone else fed up going into the season thinking these players might be great…but equally they might be cr@p! CDK, Vranckx, Origi…bla bla bla

  8. A team that made semi finals of CL should be adding EXPERIENCED players and not JUST 17 year olds IF they were serious about winning – BUT we are NOT. PROFIT over Titles. This is the Redbird way

  9. We are not looking for a right winger but we are looking for a play maker as well. What about if we go back to Angelo Gabriel.
