Mediaset: Pioli has one big dilemma ahead of Celtic game with two battling for left wing spot

By Oliver Fisher -

There is still no general consensus on what AC Milan’s starting XI will be for Thursday’s Europa League game against Celtic.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanLive), there will be at least four or five changes from the starting XI that won Saturday’s derby against Inter, with one of them forced as Brahim Diaz will replace Hakan Calhanoglu as the attacking midfielder.

Ante Rebic is still out, and the broadcaster reports that Pioli is deliberating between playing Rafael Leao on the left again or whether to try Rade Krunic there, in a role he has played for Bosnia several times.

The Portuguese was decisive against Inter but physically he is not yet at 100% given how late he started preseason. The one certainty seems to be that Jens Petter Hauge will not be awarded his first start for the club as some thought he may, given the current injury situation, but his inclusion off the bench cannot be excluded.
