Mediaset: Probable Milan XI to face Spezia – one dilemma for Pioli to resolve

By Oliver Fisher -

There is one selection dilemma for head coach Stefano Pioli to solve ahead of tonight’s game against Spezia, according to a report.

As SportMediaset reports (via MilanLive), Pioli has almost the entire squad available aside from Davide Calabria who is suspended and the injured Brahim Diaz.

Simon Kjaer has recovered and is expected to partner Alessio Romagnoli in the centre of defence, with Diogo Dalot on the right and Theo Hernandez on the left.

In midfield, Ismael Bennacer returns to partner Franck Kessie having overcome the physical problems he had and also the bronchitis that kept him out last weekend. Sandro Tonali will be on the bench therefore.

Alexis Saelemaekers will act as the right winger and Hakan Calhanoglu will be the playmaker, but the one battle is between Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic for the left wing spot. The former of Sporting Lisbon star seems to be the favourite to complete the attack behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Leao (Rebic); Ibrahimovic.
