Mediaset: Rangnick to Milan becoming increasingly likely; latest on Ibrahimovic

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick is once again becoming more and more likely to take over as AC Milan head coach this summer, a report claims.

It was stated by La Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday that CEO Ivan Gazidis has maintained almost daily phone contacts with Rangnick over joining Milan.

The paper claimed that there have been assurances regarding the budget available to the German and that there is confidence on both sides that a full agreement will be reached.

Now, an update has arrived from SportMediaset (via MilanNews) which is along a similar theme. They claim that Gazidis has begun to think about the plans for next season and that the arrival of Rangnick now appears increasingly likely.

On the other hand though, the outlet states that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future appears to be away from Milan, which could of course be down to Rangnick’s preference to use young, quick and mobile strikers generally.
