Mediaset: Two systems considered for game vs. Juventus – Ibrahimovic showing signs of fatigue

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli may still revert to a 4-4-2 formation for Thursday’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus, a report claims.

The Rossoneri will be looking to bounce back from Sunday’s derby defeat to Inter during which, for the first 45 minutes, there were plenty of encouraging signs prior to the second half capitulation.

According to Claudio Raimondi’s latest for SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it), the defeat certified that Ibrahimovic is not enough even if he still makes the difference at his age with a goal and an assist.

The 38-year-old wants to play against another of his former sides in Juventus, in front of 70,000 spectators. On Tuesday afternoon afternoon at Milanello his condition will be evaluated after he too, at the end of the derby, showed some signs of fatigue coming from a troubled week last week on a physical level.

The cup game will be important to understand the level of the Rossoneri, Raimondi adds, and while Leao is pushing for a place Pioli must understand if there will be room for him instead of Rebic in 4-2-3-1. He could also return to a 4-4-2 with Leao next to Ibra.
