MEN: Manchester United working on new contract for Milan target

By Euan Burns -

Manchester United have begun work on renewing the contract of Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot who has been linked with another spell at AC Milan, a report claims.

As has been reported in England by Manchester Evening News (Milan News), the Premier League side led by Erik ten Hag do not want to lose Dalot at the end of the season.

He has been a rotational option this season thanks to the resurgence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka but Dalot’s versatility and attacking threat makes him a good player.

He had a loan spell at Milan in the past and now the Rossoneri are keen on signing him again.

If he were to become available this summer, Milan would not have a straight run at him. Juventus, AS Roma and Atletic Madrid have all shown interest in the former FC Porto youngster who is still fairly young considering how long he has been a senior player, having been born in 1999.

  1. The perfect player for Milan. Solves the issues for both flanks. Knows our system and did well with us. Unfortunately I can’t see him leaving Man Utd

  2. For the question of his spell with Milan: he was mediocre. He misplaced SO many passes and was a liability for the most part. He showed flashes of quality but not enough.

He has obviously developed a lot and doing well with Man Utd and if he came back I would be optimistic.
