During today’s summit between Gerry Cardinale and Ruben Amorim, the bomb squad players were discussed, from Fikayo Tomori to Youssouf Fofana and Santiago Gimenez.
A few weeks back, Amorim decided to exclude Christopher Nkunku, Tomori, Fofana and Gimenez from the match squads and group training. In short, he established a ‘bomb squad’ to make it very clear that they need to leave Milan to get playing time.

It worked with Nkunku, who reached an agreement to join Leipzig on loan, but now destinations must be found for the other players. This is something that Milan discussed during the transfer market summit earlier today.
Complicated situations
According to the latest from MilanNews, Milan are working on the exits of all three. They were in talks with Porto over Gimenez not too long ago, and while those negotiations hit a stalemate, Jorge Mendes has now been brought in to mediate the situation to reach an agreement.
For Fofana, meanwhile, there is optimism that a club will be found in these final days, even if the player has hinted that he won’t leave unless the move is just right. Moving on to Tomori, as things stand, there are no concrete options on the table for him.
By the sounds of it, the Rossoneri still have a lot of work to do on this front and not a lot of time, which isn’t exactly a great combination.
Funny how little interest there has been over the years in Milan’s scudetto winning players.
Speaking of Scudetto winning players, Franck Kessie is back in serie A, and even better turned down Juventus.
Another funny thing is that the same director, or one of them, that wasn’t capable of resigning and keeping Kessie at Milan, also wasn’t capable of signing Kessie as a free agent at Juventus. Massara is useless. Yet he continues to get jobs. 4 years, 4 different teams.
Don’t agree that massara is useless. If his bosses tie his hands and give him no funds or limit the funds he can use, what the hell can he do? If kessie wants, for example €30 million and massara’s bosses give him €10 million, what can he do?
Exactly that! It takes a willing man to believe the theory of incompetence rather than the one of corporat hard limits aginst the deserved pay rise for the players delivering success and if kept and helped maybe even glory and legacy.

I think it part of his commission. He helped Milan to sign the player that they wanted, even before they offload the bomb squad. Then after Milan unable to find suitable suitor, Mendes help them to find it. I think it mutual benefit for both
