Pervis Estupinan could stay at AC Milan for the upcoming season, despite being heavily linked with an exit just a few weeks ago.
After a rather disappointing first season with Milan, benched by the youngster Davide Bartesaghi, many expected Estupinan to pack his bags at the start of the summer. However, despite interest from Aston Villa, Ruben Amorim wanted to test him in pre-season.

Sure enough, Estupinan featured in all three friendlies that he was available for (arriving a little late after the World Cup), showing both good and bad sides to his game. And these performances may have been enough to salvage his Milan adventure.
No instructions for Mendes
According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan recently had a meeting with Jorge Mendes to discuss the remainder of the mercato, including everything from the future of Rafael Leao and Pervis Estupinan to potential signings.
As things stand, it seems the Rossoneri could consider keeping Estupinan for the 2026-27 season, seeing as they didn’t communicate to Mendes that the left-back needed to be sold. Instead, that focus mainly fell on Leao, who remains on his way out.
On that note, according to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Estupinan looks set to play from start in Milan’s season opener against Torino tomorrow.

That Mendes is self centered, how can you say Milan should keep someone like Estupinia, can that man even stop bring in players for Milan as agent , rubbish..
This management has made good moves so far, but also has completely botched exits… How Tomori, Fofana and Nkunku leave before the likes of Terraciano, Musah and Estupinan is highly questionable.
I think at some point you have to stop. Like, the club can’t turn over 12 players in one summer. Why Tomori, Fofana and Nkunku first? Probably has to do with high salaries, expiring contracts, and more lucrative player valuations. Terra, for example, qualifies as homegrown, is on a comparatively small salary and at a 4M value, would not bring the club much on the market. On the other end, Tomori is expiring next summer. So keep him until the end of his contract? They’re not going to renew him, as clearly Amorim doesn’t rate him. So get 10M for him now and get rid of his salary is probably the mindset. Likewise, Fofana has two years left, so now is the time to get max value out of his transfer. Nkunku has a big salary. Etc. We splashed the cash to bring players in, but we’ve got to pay the piper somehow. In the absence of a huge sale, these are the fringes we need to trim now. Next summer we can get rid of the Estupinans, Terracianos and Musahs after another season of revenue.
