CM: Mendes to offer Wolves winger to Milan in talks with Maldini

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan might have the chance to strengthen their right side with a free transfer as agent Jorge Mendes looks to find a new club for Adama Traore, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Mendes is expected to meet with Milan’s technical director Paolo Maldini soon to discuss a number of names from Marco Asensio to Manuel Ugarte, and Traore’s could come up as part of discussions.

The source claims that Mendes is pushing the winger to go to Serie A in the summer rather than back to LaLiga where he spent time on loan with Barcelona or even to another club in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old out of contract on June 30 which means that he is free to sign a pre-contract with a club outside England, though the Rossoneri could face competition because he is also a transfer target for Napoli.

Traore has two goals in 23 Premier League appearances this season having managed just one in 20 games in the English top flight last season, in addition to zero goals (and two assists) in LaLiga with Barca.

    1. Most of the games he gets subbed in, so it doesn’t even count. He could do really well for us in a slower league. Imagine a defence like Atalanta’s having to deal with Leão on the left and Adama on the right, they are going to get smoked

  1. Mendes offering up our most valuable player to every club that can afford him, putting us in a difficlut position when negotiating his contract and at the same time trying to get us to sign over inflated crap. Fk this guy

  2. On a free transfer as long as the salary is not awful it’s worth a try. Super fast but really lacks quality but still I think an upgrade for our D tier RW.

  3. Due to our weak budget Traore on a free May be our only reasonable option assuming his salary is also reasonable. He hasn’t done much of anything in the past few seasons to justify a high salary – but with Mendez who knows lol. He could be a is low risk high reward type player but I’m not sure I would expect much. He’s 27 and is what he is at this point in his career. Yes an upgrade considering our options at RW but not too excited of it happens.

  4. Another Origi. We can’t afford to waste time on stuff like this. Maldini wasted months and our budget on that dud CDK. That can’t happen again. Our squad is already far behind Napoli, and even Juve and Inter. We are forced to battle with the Roman teams for 4th place!

  5. Here we go again, when things are about to get it right, we screw up again by getting rid of our valuable asset.
Why can’t we win a cup or two, win the league or two before any negotiations.
we should have kept it going after 2x 7th place by buying not selling…build a fortress ..not demolishing.

  6. We need a top striker and right winger for a competitive starting line-up. Asensio and Thuram are free in the summer. We need to go all out on such calibre players. Other holes in the squad like back-ups for a striker, wingers, defensive midfield, left-back can be solved with smart low cost signings or the youth team.
