Messaggero: Bundesliga side register interest in Milan forward – the asking price set

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan winger Ante Rebic is attracting interest from the Bundesliga and an asking price has been set ahead of the summer, a report claims.

As reported by today’s edition of Il Messaggero (via SempreMilan.it), Wolfsburg have set their sights on Rebic and they want to bring him back to the Bundesliga, where he had great success with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The man who he had that success under was head coach Niko Kovac who is the new Wolfsburg boss. The Croatian winger is no longer considered an essential piece of the squad because of Rafael Leao’s explosion and the frequent injuries of the past season.

That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are considering raising some money with the sale of the 29-year-old, but the management value Rebic at between €18m and €22m. Wolfsburg have not yet presented an offer but if a proposal falls within that range, then he could leave.

    1. If Rebic is sold than it must be at 20M+ nothing less. The guy produced double figures past 2 seasons and suddenly kids like you think he is bad because he had 1 bad szn. Even Transfermarkt values him at 20M

  1. Foolishness so if leao is injured who comes in? No brain people just because he had injuries last season won’t make him not to be better player next season
Before his injury he was very good always scoring against juventus
What’s the probability that leao won’t be sidelined for months next season?
Don’t sell ur hiding intelligent player for nothing

    1. I think it’s more of a case where he wants to leave than Milan wants to sell him. The previous 2 seasons he was an undisputed starter but this season with Leao’s emergence and his own injuries, he lost the starting spot in the line up. Rebic is in his prime years of his career and doesn’t wanna sit on the bench

  2. quite simply F*** off. If Rebic is sold than it must be at 20M+ nothing less. The guy produced double figures past 2 seasons and suddenly idiots like you think he is shit because he had 1 bad szn. Even Transfermarkt values him at 20M

  3. Rebic is very valuable to our team. He can play RW, LW, center forward. His pressing and passing and goal scoring is all top notch. True he suffered some injuries this year; but he still had some huge performances for us v Juventus early, at Liverpool and several great performances during our winning streak to end the season. So we should demand a big asking price (and Niko Kovac does love him so Wolfsburg may be willing to pay).

I don’t want to lose Rebic because he is versatile and Pioli likes him; but he deserves to get more minutes (I believe PIoli should’ve played him more at RW over Saele and Messias this past season) and if he wants to go to Wolfsburg to play as a key player under his former fellow-Croatian coach, then we should sell him.
