Messaggero: Milinkovic-Savic set for Olimpico farewell as Milan and Juve watch

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus are interested in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and at present there is no competition from abroad, a report claims.

According to a report from Il Messaggero (via MilanNews), Sunday’s against Cremonese should be Milinkovic-Savic’s last match at the Stadio Olimpico in a Lazio shirt and it could be confirmed if he gives the signal of it being a farewell at full-time.

The Serbia international has a contract which runs until June 2024 and he does not seem willing to entertain the idea of a renewal, which puts some pressure on Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito who is sticking to his guns for now and asking for €40m.

At present however no club intends to pay that figure. Juventus, for example, would like to get him for €25m plus bonuses, but the paper says to keep an eye on Milan as well who are keen on him. From abroad, until now everything is silent.

  1. Jesus, man. 40M is a sweet deal. This is a WC player we are talking about.
Diaz can play for 40 years and will never get to this lvl. And they payed 35M for CDK whos more timid than a deer on a highway

    1. What position does SMS play?
      What are you saying?
Must you drag Diaz and CDK into this?

We all admire SMS buy I think you are a dumb fan who doesn’t even know know his natural position is as a central midfielder not as an attacking midfielder.

      1. SMS can play AM,CM and DM. Thats why he is WC while smoll fires like Diaz and CDK cant even play thier “natural” AM right.
I mean if he does come you think he will play in the pivot? use that brain brah

  2. Redbird aren’t spending 40-50M on SMS or any player for that matter – although we should. Juve will be under FFP and will have to sell and will be out of Europe for one maybe 2 years so I doubt SMS would even want to go there even if hey had the $$ to buy. Lazio don’t give any discounts so those hoping we will sign SMS are dreaming. Wage caps and youth policy and free transfers only lol
