Udinese have identified a new player that they would like to be included in any potential deal with AC Milan for Lazar Samardzic.
According to Messaggero Veneto (via Milan News), the Friulians would not like to see either Yacine Adli or Tommaso Pobega be a part of the deal for the Serbian, but they would be interested in young defender Davide Bartesaghi.
Udinese have already rejected an advance from Milan of €18-20m and the discussions that involved either Adli or Pobega did not get off of the ground as the Zebrette hold no interest in the Frenchman or the Italian.
It seems that left-back is an area they would rather address, and have set their sights on Bartesaghi from the Primavera team.
Bartesaghi made his senior debut last season under Stefano Pioli and could potentially have a role to play under Paulo Fonseca when the season begins, whilst he also has the opportunity to play for Milan Futuro in Serie C.
It isn’t clear whether Milan would be willing to use a talented youngster as part of the deal but the Italian has been linked with moves away from the club before, usually on a loan deal. With other areas to address, it could be the route Milan choose.
Samardzic is keen to make the move which could help force Udinese’s hand.
No. As thing stand, if we want to buy a non homegrown player then we need to sell 2 non-homegrown players.
And our AMC is pretty much covered, Pulisic, RLC can play there, Reijnders also can with slightly different profile, also Liberali showed promises.
Just focus on DM and selling player first.
I don’t think homegrown works the way you think it works.
He’s not far wrong. Yes, we don’t have to sell them to register a new player, but we do have one more non-Italian-trained than we can register at the moment. He moved to Italy a year too late to count as ‘Italian trained’. So if we signed him, we have to say which player (apart from Adli) we don’t register so he can play.
It could be the case if he’s including Balo and Origi but I’m not sure. I believe it’s about correct. One will need to go to accommodate a non homegrown
While Jiminez has better speed Bartesaghi has better overall technical skills, defensive abilities and reading of the game. Not sure why he didn’t get a chance in preseason. Not sure why even Jiminez, who is supposed to be Theo’s backup, didn’t get sweat either
it is better to protect jimenez atm, he need more physical training and also the technical aspect. without getting this done and risk playing him, expose him to injuries. something we don’t want for him.
with more training time and minutes with the futuro he will get his time.
F off, never wanted Samardzic.
Finish up Fofana and good ST, not Abraham. give Adli time if he’s that desperate until January and if he doesn’t live up to the expectations, try Morten Frendrup from Genoa, easy 20-25M deal, amazing defensive stats and we would see how his 2nd season would go.
Nooooo way… Bartesaghi can be Italy left back for years to come. Stop giving young talented player to clubs like Udinese. They make fortunes with young players. Stop giving them opportunities like this. If you wanna buy a player from them , they will ask you the Moon and the Earth…
It would mace take 3-4m off the asking price, so if they don’t want Adli or pobega part of the deal then sell pobega and Adli and use that money to buy him it’s basically swapping them
Unless nobody wants them. Adli has admirer but he doesn’t wanna leave. Pobega is needed for home grown quota and quite nobody wants him. Sell one of Kalulu or Tomori and we know Gabbia is out of question.
Give them Bartesaghi with 10 million top buyback prize, and 30% future sale clause. If he turns out bad, we get Zamardzic cheapee, if he turns out good, in two year we can get him cheap and rdady for first team and fills the HG quota we always have a problem with with this International management.
would rather get Freudnep from Genoa for the same price…
I hope not to happen, I like Bartesaghi’s talent, he can also play in LCB, It’s strange he didn’t get a chance in pre-season, teraciano didn’t impress me.
Awful offer. We cannot just sell our promising Italians for a bang average midfielder, who didn’t even manage 10 goal contributions, plus 20mil on top. Guy is worth 15 maybe with a sell on clause. We’d be better advised to just go back for Diaz
